The MG-3000 requires a specific 3/16-inch joint spacing and cannot accept standard 1/4-inch polymeric sand without bridging and premature failure. For OEM versus aftermarket, we typically specify Techniseal or Alliance Gator polymeric sand as equivalent to the original Mr-Glass blend, and we stock both on our trucks.
